Blumhouse is hit and miss for me. They've entered into a deal to release 8 movies (4 this month and the other 4 in 2021) on Amazon Prime. Last week THE LIE and BLACK BOX were released, while this week we'll see NOCTURNE and EVIL EYE. I watched THE LIE and BLACK BOX this weekend. THE LIE wasn't bad. Decent enough to watch with a noticeable cast (Peter Sarsgaard and Joey King). The twist at the end was rather weak. In comparison, BLACK BOX was a somewhat cheap rip off of GET OUT without the racism. However, did not do as good of a job at holding my attention as THE LIE did. As for this week and based off of the trailers, I'm more interested in NOCTURNE than EVIL EYE.
