The man who died in a shooting in Uden on Sunday evening is 53-year-old kickboxing trainer Stef Muller from Tilburg. Muller is well known in the martial arts world, but he also came into contact with the law. In 2017, during a raid on his former home in Mariahout, the police found a firearm and attributes for the production of ecstasy.

Muller was shot on Sunday evening around 19.45 on the Batenburglaan in Uden. A 47-year-old man from Nijmegen was arrested as a suspect in the immediate vicinity of the crime scene. A 30-year-old man from Uden has also been arrested. The police are still looking for the third suspect.

According to Omroep Brabant, Stef Muller belongs to a well-known family from the neighboring Beek en Donk, where he himself grew up. He had his own metal business and was a well-known face and gifted trainer in the martial arts. For example, he temporarily assisted multiple world kickboxing champion Nieky Holzken from Helmond.
