Ridouan Taghi, who is suspected of multiple liquidations, had at least one corrupt contact at the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee. That writes NRC Handelsblad on the basis of a report by July 26, 2018 from an investigation into the military police.
The investigation into the now convicted man is called "Seducing Herb" and ran from mid-2015 at the National Criminal Investigation Department. The employee concerned was convicted earlier this year for violating his official secret. He received a partly suspended prison sentence of 180 days and a community service sentence. He also passed on information to the Amsterdam criminal Gwenette Martha, who was murdered in 2014.
