The National Police Unit rolled up a crystal methlab in Montfoort on Thursday. The lab was in operation and the professional and extensive production location was hidden under a large bump of clay. Two men aged 53 and 50 have been arrested. The owner of the site, a 59-year-old man, has also been arrested. The men come from Zaandam, Hoorn and Montfoort.
The production site was located in six switched sea containers covered by a layer of dyke reinforcement clay. The location and its entrance were shielded in such a way that they were not visible on aerial photos and from the public road.
In addition to more than four kilos of methamphetamine in crystals, the investigators also found 96 liters of methamphetamine oil.
