Ex mafia informant killed in ambush In Sicily

(ANSA) - VITTORIA, JUN 30 - A former informant on the Sicilian mafia was killed in an ambush on Tuesday.
Orazio Sciortino, 51, was gunned down in the countryside near Vittoria not far from Ragusa.
Sciortino, a former member of the Carbonaro Dominante clan, helped shed light on the San Basilio Massacre in Vittoria on January 2, 1999, which left five dead.
His body was found on his farm. (ANSA).
