The intended new president of Suriname, Chan Santokhi, is prepared to extradite Desi Bouterse to the Netherlands if they submit a request. Years ago the Court of Appeal in The Hague imposed a 11-year imprisonment in absentia on Bouterse for involvement in a transport of nearly 500 kilos of cocaine.
