Some factual history. Slavery has gone on from the beginning of time and included every society. Almost every culture was a victim of slavery at one time or another, the greeks, romans, slovs, jews, vikings, egyptians, you name it.
As far as the trans atlantic slave trade is concerned, only a small percentage were sent to the united states. The majority went to the carribean and south america. The media would have you think most came to north america. Thats simply not true.
Most slaves were sold by other africans, not captured by white men with nets. Various tribes engaged in war and the losers of those wars were used as slaves and sold or traded to europeans by africans.
