Your comment was probably tongue-in-cheek, but organized crime isn't limited to Italians. In lots of places throughout the world some form of homegrown organized crime has taken root.
East Asia, former Soviet Union, the Balkans, Central America, South America, North Africa, West Africa, the Levant, the Caribbean...are all regions were plenty of nations have a strong indigenous organized crime element. Western Europe; the British, the Irish, the Dutch and the French (Corsicans) have their mobs and firms...biker gangs throughout the Netherlands, Germany, Scandinavia and Oceania...

In the USA the Mafia isn't the sole organized criminal element...the Blacks, the Hispanics, the Asians, the Natives, the Islanders, WASPS and Irish...all have their gangs unique to the USA. Whether it's street gangs, prison gangs or criminally minded biker gangs.
Organized crime was there in the USA was before the Italians set foot in the country. Like the crooked saloon operators and afterwards the Irish...

Italians are stereotyped for this, but organized crime isn't something that's exclusive to Italians. Italians just perfected it wink
Wasn't the Italians' fault they played the game and came out on top wink
