I don't know what union you are in Andragathia, (if you are really in a union). The reality is, in a city like Philly if your union officials don't get along with city politicians and also special interest groups, you guys are going to have problems. That's reality, that's how politics works, sadly. And it's not 1957 where they could call a mayor or councilman and tell them the way it was going to be. Unfortunately.
