In Rotterdam-IJsselmonde, a 30-year-old man was shot to death at his home on Friday morning. The police have arrested two suspects. It concerns a 20-year-old man from Dordrecht and a 21-year-old man from Capelle aan den IJssel. According to a police spokesman, "it looks like a liquidation."
Images show that the victim ( nicknamed “Johnnie”) is in a front yard. According to local residents, the victim lived there with his Antillean mother and sister.
Last autumn, Rotterdam-IJsselmonde was the setting for a conflict between rival youth gangs. Last week, there was another report of a shooting a few blocks away.
