The boss of Corleone Pietro Pollichino is back in prison, among the mafia leaders released in recent weeks for health reasons. Sentenced for mafia association, 78 years old, he will finish serving his sentence in July 2021.

Pollichino was detained in high surveillance and was on the mafia list, which had been placed under house arrest. The decision was determined by the application of the Department of Prison Administration after the decree of 10 May which gave the Dap the initiative to indicate to the surveillance magistrates suitable health solutions to allow the return of the prisoners released for health reasons in penal institutions.

The home court for Pollichino had been ordered by the surveillance court of Potenza, being the boss detained in Melfi prison. Pollichino was at the top of the list prepared by the deputy head of the Dap Roberto Tartaglia.
