Wow! Another arrest in a gangland hit, first Musitano, then Sollecito, now this one.
So it's safe to say the WPA are the ones responsible? Sounds like a tit-for-tat originating from the murder of Commisso & his companion, Almedia.
From what I’ve heard, Commisso may have been killed in retaliation for the attempted hit on Serrano and the murders of his girlfriend and Tony Large.
At the time of the attempt on Serrano, the decision to green light him was based on intel given to those who make the decision, from sources close to Commisso or Commisso himself. Weed wasn’t legal yet, but it was related to it, positioning of companies for government contracts.
After Serrano survived and the girl was killed, it caused an investigation of sorts within the OC groups, on both sides of the Atlantic. Killing women in Canada, isn’t like it is in South Italy. After it turned out that, the information given to get the go ahead on the hits/attempted hits was misleading.
They targeted both Commisso and his girlfriend/wife as a message from the otherside.
It may have helped lay the framework for the current stability and apparent harmony amongst mobster in the GTA and Montreal currently.
