Drug war triggers series of shootings and attack in Rotterdam
A batch of 4,200 kilos of cocaine, which was intercepted by the Belgian police in the port of Antwerp more than three weeks ago, is the cause of the firearms violence in Rotterdam in recent days. That says several sources within and outside the criminal environment. The police are not yet making any statements about the possible background of the shelling of five homes and retail properties.

After the seizure of the large shipment of coke , which had been disposed of in a container of fish from South America, fourteen suspects were arrested in Belgium, including several young men of Surinamese and Antillean origin. The cargo of drugs is said to have been imported by an Amsterdam gang. Investors have been hit hard by the 'disappeared' drugs, tensions between criminals in the capital would increase further.
