José Rodrigo Aréchiga Gamboa, former head of assassins of a cell of the Sinaloa Cartel, would have escaped the house arrest that he is currently serving in the United States.
El Chino Anthrax, who is known to have been the leader of one of the most bloodthirsty criminal groups in Mexico, Los Anthrax, was at his home in San Diego, California, serving a five-year sentence on probation for drug trafficking and criminal association.
When the officers went to the home on May 6, he was not at home. They indicated that he had taken all his belongings and only left his mobile phone in place. To date his whereabouts are unknown.
El Chino Anthrax was arrested at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol in 2013 and extradited to California.

He was in his sister's car who, together with her husband, were also killed in the attack. According to Mexican police, there was a shooting on Friday night in Culiacán, the capital of the state of Sinaloa. The three were kidnapped and found dead the next day in a black SUV.
