Among the defendants there is also Francesco Arcuri, for whom the request is 14 years, 2 months and 20 days . This is the alleged instigator of the 2010 murder of the lawyer Enzo Fragalà, already sentenced for this reason, on March 23, to 24 years in prison.

According to the reconstruction of the accusation, the gang, very active, would have invested and would have been the de facto owner of Pronto Bus Sicilia, one of the companies that transport tourists on board buses discovered in the historic center of Palermo, but also of clubs, pubs and taverns.

In addition to Arcuri, considered the head of the Borgo Vecchio family, the bosses of the Porta Nuova district, Tommaso Di Giovanni (16-year request) and his brother Gregorio, called Sorriso, are also charged of fraudulent transfer of values ​​(and for this reason the request is for two years).

The highest sentence, 18 years, is proposed for Francesco Pitarresi. Salvatore Dario Arcuri, Francesco's brother, came out of the trial and negotiated a two-year sentence. The position of the boss Cosimo Vernengo is omitted.
