Bonanno was still involved in the drug trade on the west coast and Mexico. He had knowledge of Frank Bompensiero going to be killed, and there are stories that claim that Joe Bonanno, Bill Bonanno and Charles Battaglia helped setup drug operations in Acapulco and Tijuana that are still going today but with the cartels in full control.
