Going to work sucks. A month ago I was recovering patients following open heart surgery, now it's covid and covid rule out patients. I was given one N95 mask for two patients for the whole shift. When I'm not at work I feel thankful to have a job. But when I get there, I wish I didn't have my job. You don't send a cop into a riot without kevlar, helmet, shield, and weapon. You don't send a fireman into a burning house without proper equipment. Us nurses, the corporations could give two shits about. Every shift they change the rules on ppe use. One nurse I work with told the higher ups if they didn't have the proper supplies for him, then he wouldn't clock in. He was told that's fine, but you'll never clock in at another one of our company's hospitals again.
