You could look at James Gandolfini, or 95% of the main players in The Sopranos, and imagine that they would've fought in their younger days, or knew how to fight, but I don't get that impression from his son - not his fault growing up the son of a millionaire.
I'm not enamored with much of the casting TBH - barely anyone in this is ethnically Italian whereas virtually all of The Sopranos main cast was Italian - but I trust David Chase knows what he's doing.
