In Spain, Dennis "Demis" M. (44) died in custody. He would have died of a cardiac arrest. M. was sentenced by the court in Spain to eleven years in prison for having operated several weed plantations in the Alicante area. He was also suspected of being involved in some liquidations in 2014 in Amsterdam.
Demis M. was a "cousin" of drug boss Gwenette Martha, who was shot dead in 2014, and was seen by the police as a member of a group of criminals from South Amsterdam around Martha.
Martha broke up with his former partner Houssine A., this led to the murders in 2014 of which M. was also suspected.
M. remained loyal to Martha his brother Dani M. has gone to the rival gang.
