Major international action against Albanian drug organization

On Thursday 25 suspects were arrested in various European countries, mainly of Albanian nationality, in the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Germany and France.

Weed plantations
The research began in 2017 in Antwerp into cocaine imports in containers via the port of Antwerp. The drugs were then distributed throughout Europe in cars with hidden spaces. The same group is said to have operated weed plantations in Spain and Germany. Six plantations have been dismantled.

Searches
Nine people were arrested in Belgium and six in Spain, three in the Netherlands, six in Germany and one in France. There have been searches at thirty locations. Cash, firearms and mobile phones have been seized for 60,000 euros. The main suspect was arrested in Antwerp.
