The Assize Court of Palermo sentenced the bosses Vincenzo and Giovan Battista Pipitone, Antonino Di Maggio and Salvatore Cataldo to life imprisonment. They are accused of having played a role in the murders of Giampiero Tocco, Antonino Failla and Giuseppe Mazzamuto, all of whom disappeared with the lupara bianca method between 1999 and 2000, in the areas of Terrasini and Carini.
In another trial, the bosses Salvatore and Sandro Lo Piccolo, father and son, had already been convicted of the crimes.
