He came up in the 1980s and 90s in the construction industry in NYC. When you couldn’t pour a drop of concrete anywhere without an ok. So it’s not far-fetched that he dealt with many so and so’s. Take what from it what you will. It’s a fact.



I agree. He had to know people simply because of the business he was in at the time. The Concrete Club had projects of any large size sewed up then, he pretty much had to deal with gangsters. Acknowledging that fact is neither supporting nor criticizing him, it's just the way it was then.
