I know nothing about Lefty but I am sure in the beginning he was paranoid but after years of the fed doing jobs and drugs and everything under the sun other then killing you start to trust.
maybe but that’s the case with most mobsters. I know Joe Pistons has an issue with monsters from the Colombo family who weren’t convinced he was who he said and that’s kind of what led him to go to the Bonannos. Lefty was a paranoid guy anyway and he had a great memory of past conversations. I think even on the wiretaps you can get the sense of that. But for the most part he didn’t doubt Donnie/Joe
