I like your comparison with Chin and Persico; Both were made in the 50's I believe; Both became Captains in the late 60's. Both became bosses in 1980? 1981? Chin was just smarter tho and had a longer run on the streets.
If you look at the old family charts made my Valachi he has Persico in Gambino Family which could have been mkstake or could have been due to them having a relationship.
