Naima Jillal (52), who disappeared without a trace in October from Amsterdam, was active at the highest level in the cocaine business, writes De telegraaf on the basis of various sources. Jillal operated from the Spanish city of Malaga as a sort of 'drug broker' and brought top criminals together for business, the newspaper said.

The missing woman appears in a long-running investigation into international coke trade and money laundering. She would be a key player in this.

Earlier, the police confirmed that the disappearance of Jillal may be related to a conflict in the underworld .

Jillal has disappeared since Sunday 20 October in the Amsterdam Zuidas. She got into a dark car at around 21:30 that evening at the intersection of Gustav Mahlerlaan with Leonard Bernsteinstraat. That was near her home.

Several suspects were arrested in the case, but these were also released .
