The 42-year-old Michael B. has been sentenced by the court in The Hague to a 10-year prison sentence for possession of weapons and the detonation of two hand grenades in the center of Delft. The attacks in May of last year focused on 2 cannabis coffeeshops, The Game and The Future. A passer-by was injured in the face.

The prosecution had demanded 12 years in prison. Two weeks ago, fellow suspect Dean P. (24) heard 8 years in prison. P. was acquitted by the court on Friday for the attacks on the coffeeshops. He does have to be in jail for 21 months for possession of weapons and influence of a witness.

Michael B. has a long criminal record. In 2002 he was sentenced to 16 years in prison for the so-called Irish bathtub murder . The Irish Damien Monaghan and the brothers Vincent and Morgan Costello were shot. Their bodies were cut into pieces in a bathtub and set on fire.
