The feds didn’t use him and pulled his deal because they didn’t want the public to know that their poster boy Gravano was a drug dealer and that Casso could PROVE that he had crooked FBI agents in his pocket. It had ZERO to do with him being a maniac or lying to the agents. Even though Phillip Carlo is a dick riding douchebag lots of what he says in his book is true. Plenty of FBI reports and court briefs prove it. The Feds love to parade mugshots and those stupid fucking poster boards around every time they catch a state cop, local cop, prison guard, or other members of LE but god forbid they ever admit their own agents EVER do anything wrong. Shit, they only got Connelly because their nose was rubbed in shit with their inability to find Bulger. Casso is a piece of shit but no more so than Gravano, Alite, Scarpa or any other admitted killers that flipped. The Feds just wanted Gotti so bad and once they got him they couldn’t allow anything to tarnish that “victoryâ€. Well whaddya know scumbag Sammy and his fucking kids were busted for selling TONS of ecstasy not long after.
