Eating &(judging) my wife's rendition of Sheperds Pie …...It's o.k...seein' I worked a double 2day..she took it upon herself 2 try 2 master this United Kingdom Dish....xcept she forgot or did not know it is really LAMB that makes the flavor....I will do it next time...but I love her 4 her effort..&&& everything else she is ..".she gotta way about her"....

Yes, I had it with chop meat and its ok but really should be heavier base with lamb as you mention.
