I Heard You Paint Houses wrote an extremely thorough rebuttal to this article. The publisher disputes all of the journalist's claims in this hit piece. Honestly, the publisher did a very good job of tearing apart Slate's attempts to discredit Frank Sheeran and Charles Brandt. In fairness, the journalist also responded well to the book's publisher.
