The working section of the Palermo review court annulled the custody order and released Massimo Mulè, head of the Porta Nuova mafia district, subjected to detention, with another 50 people, on December 4 last year, as part of the operation Cupola 2.0, on the attempt to reconstitute the commission of Cosa nostra, so as to return to ensure coordination between the districts of Palermo and the province. Mulè, assisted by lawyers Giovanni Castronovo and Marco Clementi, had already obtained a first cancellation with referral to the Court of Cassation on 2 April.
