I still want to like "City on a Hill" because it stars Kevin Bacon as Jackie Rohr, a scuzzy, corners-cutting, high energy FBI agent teamed with cynical prosecutor DeCourcy Ward (Aldis Hodge) to battle the Boston PD, a world-weary DA and a host of family members in trying to lock up some bad guys. Bacon is the new James Woods in this show, but it's stolen by Hodge, who's excellent at balancing being black in an Irish-cop world. Problem is an ongoing trainwreck of annoying side stories involving irritating, dysfunctional families and extralegal encumbrances. Tough going.
