The police of the Agrigento mobile squad arrested, in execution of a European arrest warrant, the 32-year-old of Favara, Mario Rizzo, a former collaborator, never admitted to the protection program, accused by the Belgian magistracy of conspiracy and drug trafficking.

Rizzo is accused of " being placed in an organization dedicated to the cultivation of doping plants ". The measure was carried out after Rizzo, who in the past few months started a collaboration with the law by first shedding light on an ambush against a restaurateur, then revealing alleged plots on the Belgium-Favara axis, he returned free having ceased precautionary measure in the investigation of the attempted murder.

The 32-year-old, who recently retracted saying that his had been "a false collaboration", has appointed Calogero, the lawyer, as defense counsel. The agents took him from his home waiting to hand him over to the Belgian authorities who, last summer, had already tried to execute the European arrest warrant but the concomitant Italian legal affair had blocked the extradition.
