On Wednesday, the Gelderland District Court sentenced twice a life sentence and thirty years to jail in a large winding-up process involving two murders and three attempts to that end. "Bullets were literally sprayed," the judge said.

Omar L. (28) has been found guilty of organizing and therefore co-perpetrating the murders and their attempts. According to the court, he must go to prison for life.

That punishment also applies to Hicham M. (25) for his involvement in multiple life crimes. "They seem unscrupulous," was the judge's verdict. "For such exceptionally serious crimes only lifelong is appropriate."

Mohamed H. (29) was imprisoned for 30 years. He was involved in a murder and a failed attempt at murder. "The court sees in his case still room for improvement of his life" and therefore opted for the highest punishment to be imposed.

A total of six suspects were on trial
This liquidation process revolves around the preparation of the murder of the Chahid and Chafik Yakhlaf brothers in October 2015, the actual liquidation of Chahid Yakhlaf and the failed liquidation of Chafik Yakhlaf and a third person in Kerkdriel two months later.

In addition, it is about the murder of Eaneas Lomp in Krommenie in November 2015 and the failed liquidation of Nourredine A. in April 2016.

A total of six suspects were on trial. Don M. and Frans H. were respectively imprisoned for nine and seven years for preparing the murders of the Yakhlaf brothers in October 2015.

Daniël M. was sentenced to fifteen years in prison for luring his 'friend' Lomp and keeping the shooters informed of the man's travel movements.
