I thought about the ndrangheta but there are several powerful crime families. Like the Barbaros as you mentioned, Piromallis, De Stefanos, Condellos, Strangios and so on. I wasn’t aware that the Barbaros are the de facto powerhouse of the ndrangheta. The Yakuza would have to be mentioned for the eastern side of the globe.
