Enzo Anghinelli, 46 of Milan, was the victim of an attempted drive by shooting that occurred on April 11 in the Porta Romana district of central Milan.

Anghinelli was in his car, waiting at a red light, when a scooter with two men wearing full helmets accosted his car and shot him four to six times. He survived the hit but remains hospitalized in severe conditions.

It was not the first time Anghinelli was targeted due to his involvement in the Milanese drug trade as a trafficker and wholesaler. In 1998 he was shot close-range as he walked back home. He survived that hit just like he’s believed that will survive this one too.

He spent several years behind bars after he was caught with large quantities of cocaine. At the time Anghinelli was running a bar as well as a luxury car rental company. He was dubbed the “Movida” (nightlife) go-to drug guy as he was known for distributing drugs to many clubs scattered around the city.

He is reputedly connected to the Mancuso clan of the Ndrangheta, the Sacra Corona Unita clans (particularly the Magrini) as well as local Milanese and Eastern European drugs cews l.
