Arrests related to the Hells: twenty searches in shops and residences

(UPDATE 11:00 AM) The Hells Angels police operation of the Regional Mixed Regional Squad is still ongoing. We are talking about twenty searches and about twenty arrests in residences and businesses in different regions, including Estrie.

This police operation, which now requires the services of some 220 police officers, aims to stop drug trafficking from the distribution cell of a criminal organization linked to the Hells Angels. This cell controls the distribution of cocaine and methamphetamine from the east of Sherbrooke to Beauce.

The searches and arrests take place in the Haut-Saint-François, Appalaches, des Sources, d'Arthabaska et du Granit. The arrested suspects are scheduled to appear today at the Sherbrooke courthouse.
