This doesn't happen very often. A ton of rappers in LA have past gang affiliations. Considering how accessible Nipsey was, it would have been easier to get him on a backstreet. The circumstances here are very unusual.

Imagine if Russell Poole had taken the Tupac and Biggie murders at face value, that it was just street drama. He digged a little deeper and found all roads lead back to the LAPD and Suge Knight.

There's no reason for anyone to stop digging in this case either. And some wont, thankfully.
