You’re right Hollander and Strax. From what I’ve seen, it’s been a lot more interesting with a lot more at stake. You could make that case from the 90s up to now if not for Gotti. But at that time Gotti and every American mafioso was making peanuts compared to what the top guys were making in Italy. Surprised the American mafia wasn’t a little more involved in real estate in the older times. Would’ve been billionaires if they bought a piece of Harlem and sold it years down the line. That’s just one example of course. Maybe not even the best.
