Shocking that the boss of a major crime family wouldn't have more security around his house. Forget cameras. I would think bulletproof windows, doors, and body guards permanently stationed there.
That would draw way too much attention. Besides, it is looked at as a sign of weakness. Mobsters at the top would want to show strenght and that they have nothing to fear. Only at times of war they protect themselves. Cali most likely didn't even know someone was out to get him or this wouldn't have happened.
