And on that subject ,, if ur watching a non major local network like Antenna , ME TV , basically showing back in the day programming, every commercial is either aimed @ the elderly (med-alert, insurance etc.) or low income peoples ( where to get a loan,cheap insurance, or cheap education classes OR those sad animal in cages commercials) over & over & over..drives me nuts.


Their audiences are so small that they don't register much in ratings. So, instead of advertising a product for people to shop for, nearly all their ads have a phone number for people to call and make a direct purchase or donation. If the phone doesn't ring, the advertiser moves his money somewhere else.



Precisely so...but it ruins the audience who have 2 endure it if they just want 2 reflect on their childhood via watching an episode of ..gee, lets say "The Love Boat" because said viewer wants 2 & knows he or she will get a chance 2 see a young Markie Post in a bikini..
