In Antwerp Borgerhout a kickboxer was injured on Thursday evening in a shooting, according to the Gazet van Antwerpen . There might have been Dutch involved.

Victim is Morad S. who participated in major European kickboxing events in the Netherlands and Belgium between 2010 and 2104 and was European champion WFCA.

The shooting happened in the Vandermeydenstraat in Borgerhout.

Local residents heard a tumult arise in a building, followed by a shot. Morad S. was hit in the leg. Sources in the criminal environment speak to the Gazet van Antwerpen about a rip deal, in which the Antwerp men would have been deprived of their money by the Dutch.

S. was a suspect in drug research a few years ago and has small convictions for drug sales. The federal criminal investigation is investigating the shooting.
