A biker become embarrassing
The former Hells close shot dead Thursday had escaped a major anti-drug investigation in 2015

The former biker Rockers knew the risks of this trade where, sometimes, appearances can be enough to sign his death sentence.
It is in this context that the victim of the possible internal purge of Thursday would have served as an intermediary between a cocaine supplier and a network of smugglers linked to the Hells, while they were being watched by the police, Le Journal reported. court documents and sources.
In the fall of 2014, the narcotics market in the greater Montreal area was hit by a rare shortage of cocaine.
The price of the kilo, which traffickers trade at about $ 50,000 - a price set by the Hells and the Italian mafia and remained stable for almost 20 years - had then climbed to $ 70,000.
Follow-up
Contacted by the head of the network targeted by the investigation, Beauchamps would have been reassured about the possibility of safely picking up a kilogram of white powder from his friend supplier, the evening of October 8, 2014.
But a few minutes after the transaction, the man sent to take delivery of the drug was picked by police from the Regional Joint Organized Crime Squad, who were following him. They also seized the kilo of cocaine.
They then stopped the coke supplier at his home in Mascouche, not far from Beauchamps' home.
Not accused
Two days later, questioned by the head of the network, Beauchamps said he was angry and complained that "everyone" spread falsehoods about him in connection with the police intervention.
The investigation continued, and a year later, the entire network was dismantled.
Two members in good standing of the Hells Angels were also among the accused.
No charges were filed against Beauchamps in this case, which certainly did not stifle suspicions that he had spoken to the authorities.
There is nothing in the investigation reports to indicate that the 44-year-old man has ever been able to serve as a police informant.
We also learn in court documents from this drug investigation that Beauchamps was met during a homicide investigation by the Sûreté du Québec on November 4, 2014.
The police questioned him about the murder of Yvon Lafond, a L'Assomption merchant linked to the Hells and shot dead in front of his residence by four members of a street gang in Montreal on June 28, 2013.
Street gangs
Shortly before his death, Lafond had a fight in a restaurant with a leader of the targeted network.
Beauchamps, who was driving at the wheel of a luxury Mercedes SUV, simply replied "do not know Mr. Lafond".
Nicknamed Bass, Beauchamps was also observed a few times by police officers in Montreal along with several big names of street gangs and the Italian mafia, in 2012.
HE HAD A FRIEND PLACED IN THE HELLS ANGELS
AXEL MARCHAND-LAMOTHE and ERIC THIBAULT

The man shot in broad daylight Thursday in Montreal was a close friend of one of the most influential members of the Montreal chapter of the Hells Angels, to the point of comforting him after the death of another biker.
Sébastien Beauchamps, 44, was considered a close associate of David Lefebvre, one of the city's most influential bikers, according to police reports.
The Mascouche man was intimate enough to accompany him to a boxing gala of Adonis Stevenson in Quebec City in July 2016, and to console him after the death of Hells Angel Kenny Bédard.
The latter had just killed himself in a motorcycle accident in New Brunswick, involving several members of the band.
Lefebvre, however, had finished crying the death of his friend behind bars.
That night, quite drunk, he had fired a "free" punch at the passenger of a taxi already full on Grande Allée in Quebec City because he wanted to get on board.
Beauchamps had tried to intervene, without success.
The assailant was finally sentenced to 15 months in prison and missed Bédard's funeral.
influential
A member in good standing of the Montreal chapter since his release from prison in the wake of Operation SharQc in 2009, Lefebvre quickly rose to rank after serving his sentence for conspiracy to murder.
He would be the godfather of the Minotaurs, a gang club school in western Montreal, founded in 2017 and known as very violent.
The group was also hit hard by the Montreal police a month ago, in connection with a heroin trafficking network.
The police were interested in the wave of overdose related to fentanyl, a powerful opioid.
Lefebvre was also one of the groomsmen, with Salvatore Cazzetta and Marcel Messier, of Martin Robert at his wedding on December 1st. The groom is considered by the police as another Hells heavyweight.
This relationship with the upper echelons has led several sources in the police community to say that the murder of Sébastien Beauchamps "would have been authorized in high places".
Especially since on September 26, the former member of the Rockers was among the guests of the discreet wedding of his friend Lefebvre at the Loft Hotel, in Montreal.
