Murdered in full parking
Trafficker Sébastien Beauchamps, 44, is linked to the biker group for many years

The man fatally shot yesterday at a gas station in the north of Montreal was allegedly the victim of an internal purge of the Hells Angels, authorized in high places.

Trafficker Sébastien Beauchamps, 44, has been linked to the biker group for many years. He was suspected by his peers to have been an informant for the police in the past, according to court documents from the Mastiff project. He who was nicknamed Bass was one of the targets of this drug investigation, but he was never charged.
"It could fit into the purge of bikers at the level of sub-traffickers. But maybe Beauchamps was talking too much at the same time, "says a source who requested anonymity.
Settling the account against the former member of the Rockers, the Hells club-school who was very active during the biker war, would have been authorized in high places, since he is an individual with some influence in the criminal milieu.
Several shots

It was around 2:40 pm yesterday that emergency services were called in for several shots at the Ultramar service station on Langelier Boulevard in the borough of Saint-Léonard.
The victim's vehicle was reached on the passenger side. The ball crossed at the height of the head. Three other citizens' vehicles were hit, suggesting that Beauchamps would have defended itself. The investigation will determine whether there has actually been an exchange of fire.

Beauchamps was found unconscious not far from his car, a rented black Jeep Cherokee. After being transported in critical condition to the hospital, he died in the evening. He is the only one injured in this case.
A pistol, equipped with a silencer, was abandoned on the scene, typical of settlements in the middle.
Witnesses encountered
A large security perimeter was deployed by the police, which complicated the movement in the area. Major crime investigators from the Montreal Police Service (SPVM) were dispatched to inspect the scene with a fine-tooth comb.
"The dog handler was sent to the scene to gather as much information as possible. The police met the witnesses because several people were passing at that time, "said Benoit Boisselle, spokesman for the SPVM.
The surveillance camera images of the service station will also be analyzed.
Beauchamps is an individual with a significant criminal record. He has numerous criminal records, such as the importation of drugs, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon.
In 2004, he was sentenced to seven years and nine months imprisonment for drug trafficking and gangsterism. He was arrested on 28 March 2001 as part of Operation Spring 2001.
He is also known for a famous phrase uttered during a conversation with another Rockers member who was recorded by the police during the Spring 2001 project: "I look at the world who get up at 7 am, who are still caught in the traffic for 10 piastres per hour, and come back in the evening ... They are the ones crazy ... "
