Whitey was preparing to go on the run since at least the 80's so that's why he was able to live so long on what he had. If Catherine wasn't taking him to Mexico to buy that high dollar medicine he would have had over a million for sure. Still don't know why he was wasting all that money on those guns but he even admitted his head was fucked up from the LSD treatments.
