The police in Italy hopes to have resolved a fourfold murder with the arrest of two men. A man who was murdered in Amsterdam in October 2017 was also considered a suspect of the murders. This has been reported by the international justice organization Eurojust.
The violence took place in circles of the Italian mafia. The quadruple murder was committed on August 9, 2017 near Apricena, located in the southeastern province of Foggia.
In the Amsterdam case, the police quickly picked up a suspect. This man, also Italian, made a confession in Amsterdam. He also told the police about the victim's involvement, the 44-year-old Saverio Tucci. The body of Tucci was found at the time in the trunk of a car in Amsterdam-West. He had already survived an attack on his life in 2012.
Italy has asked for the extradition of the suspect of the murder of Tucci. Eurojust formed the link between the Italian and Dutch investigations.
