The police have arrested a new suspect of the murder of criminal John Mieremet in 2005 in Thailand. It is a 38-year-old man from Amsterdam. De Telegraaf writes that he is of Turkish descent and was one of the executors of the liquidation. Mieremet was since the eighties part of the Amsterdam underworld with his friend Sam Klepper. Holleeder had a lot of contact with them, until they got a heated fight.
Klepper was killed in 2000, Mieremet in 2005, after a failed attempt in 2002. Last week, two suspects were arrested, including Dino Soerel.
