A man from the Netherlands was shot dead in Peru. That happened Monday in Miraflores, a rich suburb of the capital Lima. The municipality of Miraflores says it is a settlement. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in The Hague, the man was 62 years old.
The murder happened when the victim arrived at his home. Two archers came riding on a motorbike. The co-driver opened the fire. The Dutchman was hit three times in his head. The mayor of, where the murder was committed, says on Twitter that the Dutchman was imprisoned in the notorious prison Sarita Colonia. It is not known why he would have been convicted. Foreign Affairs does not make any statements about this.
