GoldenEye is one of my favorites, if not favorite, and I think Brosnan nailed that Bond. I like the Russian mob angle to the movie. 006, thought to be deceased, now the head of a shadowy crime syndicate based in St. Petersburg. To meet with him, 007 must seek out an Ex-KGB operative turned crime boss, who “competes” with the Janus syndicate.

The Bond portrayed by Connery in films like Goldfinger and From Russia are undeniably memorable too. I even like some of the goofy ones like Moonraker. That’s not to say Moore is a goofy Bond...

- For reasons of personal nostalgia, Brosnan #1 (even if everything after GE sucked)
- For historical or proper reasons, maybe a “definitive” Bond, Connery #2
- Roger Moore would be my runner up
