Aiming a rifle barrel (albeit air rifle, but this is not discernible to bystanders) out of a window at this day and age might as well be a suicide attempt. Anyone with a brain knows the police are going to respond to this call very aggressively. We're in the age of mass shootings. This case should not be lumped in with those of people who were shot by police while neither armed or showing any kind of aggression whatsoever (and, aiming a rifle barrel out of a window is an aggressive move, even if the person doing it is too stupid to realize it). He was too drunk to follow the officer's instructions. He tried to stand up once or twice despite the officer telling him that if he did it again, he was dead. People who have this kind of a side effect when drinking shouldn't be drinking at all. At the very least, they're responsible for knowing their limitations.
