I'm not sure how much more mileage the GOP will get out of labeling Democrats as "socialists".
It really is an archaic term. Goes back to the Cold War, which ended nearly 30 years ago. Socialist policies trend pretty well among millennials, who will make up for the largest percentage of the voting base in a decade or so.
